GIST GUARD ORDER BOOK 1864-1865
(The reading condition of this resource is not good at all.  The best care of transcribing the text was taken, but leaves several references presented here unclear and confusing.)


July 24th, 1864
Special Order #33

VII  Comp. G, 1st Regt. So. Ca. Infantry will proceed to Ft. Sumter on the [evening] of the [26th] inst. and relieve the Gist Guard Artillery now on duty at that post.  The later Company upon being relieved will report to Col. Rhett Commanding Sullivan's Island.  Quarter Masters Dept. will furnish transportation.
